Eyeglasses – Optikam Technology

Here at Winchester Optical, we now offer the latest in digital measuring equipment, the Optikam.

When you purchase a new pair of eyeglasses, you want them to be measured as accurately as possible. The Optikam uses digital photography and motion capture technology to measure your glasses to the 0.1 of a millimeter, versus the traditional 0.5 mm.

The device allows us to easily take optical measurements, such as where your eye is centered in relation to the glasses, how far the glasses are from your face, the tilt of the glasses, and the curve of the frame against your face.

We are also able to offer you instant feedback of how you look in up to four pairs of glasses via an application that allows pictures to be viewed by the near- or far-sighted patient.
